Ozone Dentistry

Custom trays are made to input the ozone that covers the teeth and gums. Ozone is then evacuated using a vacuum, bathing the gums and teeth in pure oxygen, removing bacterial and viral infections of the oral mucosa.

Ozone is an allotrope of oxygen. Pathogens such as bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites have little or no antioxidant enzymes in their cell membranes without harming the healthy cells.

When Ozone is combined with traditional care, there are a number of advantages that patients and the dental professional can make use of. Ozone can be used to sterilize a cavity before a filling is placed to prevent sensitivity after the local anesthetic wears away. It can also be used to eliminate sensitivity after new crowns or veneers are placed. Where facets have produced sensitive areas at the necks of teeth, in most cases a simple 40 second application with ozone can eliminate this sensitivity.
