Zoom! Whitening / In-Office Services!

The Zoom! In-Office Whitening System uses proprietary technology to whiten your teeth an average of eight shades* in a little over an hour while you relax here at Dr. Doctor’s office.

Zoom! Is a teeth bleaching process that lightens discolorations of enamel and dentin.

There are many causes of tooth discoloration. The most common includes aging and consumption of acidic, stannous substances such as coffee, tea, or tobacco. During tooth formation consumption of tetracycline, certain antibiotics or excessive fluoride may also cause tooth discoloration.

Treatment may not be as effective for some as it is for others. Dr. Doctor can help you determine if you are a candidate for this procedure, including a shade assessment.

Zoom! Is a clinically safe procedure and research indicates that many other dentists consider this the safest cosmetic dental procedure available. Cosmetic whitening, as with any tooth whitening system, is not recommended for children under thirteen years of age and pregnant or lactating women.

The results are proven to last a lifetime as long as a few, simple, and preventive dietary changes are continuously practiced after the initial bleaching procedure or until the next Zoom! Whitening session.

There are significant differences in safety and efficacy between the Zoom! System and over-the-counter remedies. Brush-on gels and strips can damage tooth structure or take months to reach the same shades as Zoom!

The Zoom! System is light-activated and stimulates the active ingredient hydrogen peroxide. As hydrogen peroxide is broken down, oxygen enters the enamel and dentin, bleaching any colored substance while keeping the structure of the tooth unchanged. The Zoom! Light aids in activating the hydrogen peroxide and helps it penetrate the surface of the tooth.

This procedure is usually not painful, however it may cause transient (temporary) thermal sensitivity. Talk to Dr. Doctor about medications that can help decrease the amount of latent sensitivity.

The entire procedure takes just over one hour. The procedure begins with a preparation period followed by the bleaching. A five-minute fluoride treatment may compliment the procedure as an alternative to a prophylactic cleaning prior to.

Take advantage of the best system available and achieve the brightest smile possible with Zoom! at the office of Dr. Doctor!
